OIL
PASTEL COMMISSIONS
No Linoleum Block Comissions, Sorry
It's simply not Practical (or economical for you)While Mary will not simply repeat a previously issued image, but she will
and often has taken the elements of an original piece of art and reordered them to produce
an equally pleasing image with a very similar artistic "feel". She will also
reorder the palette to meet the color needs of your setting, provided you describe those
colors with Bainbridge Alphamat color numbers or send swatches.

This
too, can be yours!!!
Or something awfully close to it! |

Images maybe ordered in any
dimension, on paper or on canvas, and with color requests from Alphamat color numbers
(framers have these). It should be noted here, however, that the vitality and
poignancy of finished art is in the heart, mind, and hands of the artist rather than the
dreamy hopes of the viewer. It is the nature of the beast. Mary is more than willing to
produce her art to some level of requested specification; she is unwilling to
produce someone else's art to any specification whatever.

The pages to the right have many archive images on them, images that Mary has issued over
the years. Click on the page numbers, they are each different. Make notes. There are
way too many images to provide navigation bars to them all. You may also click on the
individual images to make them larger and clearer.

IF AND WHEN YOU HAVE CHOSEN
AN IMAGE, DO THESE STEPS:
- Record the image title and archive
page number
- Decide whether you want the work on
paper or canvas - inspite of what is often thought there actually is no difference
archivally or value-wise. The paper should go under glass the canvas not, which in some
homes makes the paper "more protected and less maintenance-associated (dust,
humidity, ultraviolet bleaching, scratching, etc.) than canvas. Further the framing will
probably be significantly different given the choice. The canvas should have a liner and a
frame. It'll be less expensive (not to say cheap). The paper, what with matting, fillets,
and various grades of glass, will cost more, but will also provide far greater options in
terms of presentation.
- Decide what size you want the
finished product with the frame to be, length and width, vertical or horizontal.
Mary's standard sizes are:
22" X 30"
$1100
24" X 36"
$1400
30" X 40"
$1950
It is convenient to use these sizes if they work for you, but not necessary. It should be
noted that sizes smaller than 22" X 30" will not be priced lower.
- Decide what the 3 or 4 primary
colors in the piece should be to match your parfticular setting and gather either color
swatches of these colors or using your local framer as a resource discover what the
Alphamat color numbers are.
